Description
Damaged coming out of a jump gate, the crew of the S.S. POS limped back to a nearby station with the help of a local patrol ship. The gate had been damaged before their re-entry and accelerated them to 3x the max speed of their engines. Now the engines were down to a max of a Factor of 7, and their heat shielding was shot, removing their ability to enter an atmosphere.
As they disembarked, the station control told them to standby for decontamination.. As a fine mist sprayed over them all they realized it was a sleeping agent, too late to do anything about it. Some time later they awake to find themselves in cryogenic sleep tubes. Their rescuer, a Cebus named Carven who works as an accountant on the station.
"We're sorry for the confusion, we mistook you for the pirates that attacked the gate. The good news is that we've upgraded your ship as per your uncle's will. The bad news is that it's not quite finished, and the station has been taken over by Pirates... Help?"
Upgrades include all new engines that gather fuel from Nebulae and Gas Giants that increase their speed to a Factor of 100; shield generators, and two lightly armored turrets, one laser and one railguns. Also added were a more advanced navigation computer, a combat computer, advanced sensor systems, an Alumina Cloud Dispenser and two maneuver enhancement packages (+20% to piloting rolls).
The interior has remained unchanged.
As with all of my art this was rendered in DazStudio 4.6 and Post-worked in Photoshop CS5.
