No Chainmail Bikinis by MADMANMIKE No Chainmail Bikinis by MADMANMIKE
I've never really been a fan of chainmail bikinis, for practical reasons. This is my idea of a fantasy fighting woman.

As with all of my art, this was rendered in DazStudio 4.6 and postworked in Photoshop CS5.

I agree! Who wants to show some cleavage with the battle armor and expose your heart to direct attack?  Thanks for being one of the few bucking that trend on DeviantArt.

I've always tried to buck that trend in 3D in general. This leaves more to the imagination and let's the character come out instead of being hidden behind over-sized and over-exposed curves.

Love it. And I agree.

Chainmail Bikinis are demeaning

Thanks. I'd say I was about 13 when I stopped appreciating the female form for it's own sake. There has to be some substance, and covering the body speaks of something in the head besides air.

The breastplate is impractical like someone said already(you want sword blows to slide away from your heart)and the horns look like the collide with the shoulders if she moves her head(though it might be the angle).
As for the chainmail bikinis,i love them as much as most men.But they don't belong in the battlefield.
If you want an action girl to be taken seriously, full armor is the way to go.

Woo! Chainmail bikinis are the dumbest thing, so I can only support this ;)  Love the helmet horns, too.

If you're going for the practical, then you should lose the boob shaped metal, though. That's a serious safety hazard (it guides swords toward the middle instead of away, and will definitely fracture her sternum if she falls or is thrown into something).

Yeah, to do that I would have to either create the 3D model myself, or parent a static prop to the chest.  I've seen several articles and memes about chainmail bikinis this week and was fed up, so I put this together in an hour last night after work.  The armor is actually male armor, fit to DAZ Genesis 1, which allows for a conforming morph.  Here's the armor by Xurge: xurge3d.com/inc/sdetail/1536/1… .

I use a combo of cleavage modifier morphs for genesis, Sickleyields SMRS for genesis, and good ol' Hexagon smoothing brush to get rid of the boobsocks.

Whups...s.r.m.s. I mean:
www.daz3d.com/sickle-rigging-a…
www.daz3d.com/clothing-cleavag…

Daz has made both of these hard to find, in order to push the G2 stuff. They work well enough for most things, but results do vary with the morph and the clothing.

Thanks for that! I only adopted Genesis last July so I know I've missed a fair amount of items, but these will come in handy.

Have to say I agree with GlassMouse, but none the less, boob shaped plate armour is better than a bikini any day.

nice work.  I love the grainy look, makes it look like a painting although there is a bit of a halo around her.

Thanks, that's an old comic technique.. I didn't play it down as much as I should, I was throwing this together in the last hour at work..

yeah.  got to love chainmail bikinis.  The less armour I wear the more protected I am... (after the 7th resurcection, she decided to buy some armour) (quote from Eclipse)
